The former Agnes Darling beloved wife of the late Harvey Ballagh who predeceased her in 1994. Dear mother of Darlene and Keith Kirk of R.R. # 2, Shallow Lake, Bev Ballagh of Owen Sound, Glenda and Lloyd Morrison of R.R. # 1, Lucknow and Terry and Cindy Ballagh of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of Kevin Kirk, Scott & Allison Kirk, Lee Morrison-James & David James and Lesley Morrison & her fiancé Chris Congram. Sister of Alan Darling of Belmore. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews as well as many friends. Brother of Janice Carter of Toronto, Terry and Rhoda Carter of Coldale, Alberta, Sandra Penner of Lions Head, Murray and Gail Carter of Olds, Alberta, Carol and Allan Johnstone of Wingham, Kevin and Heather Carter of Listowel and Lisa Carter of Brantford. Brother-in-law of Andy Kroontje of Surrey, B.C. Son-in-law of Irene Ryder of Delhi. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Kathie and Bryce Johnston, Nick and Josh Carter and Marah Gibbons.

Don and Evonne owned and operated Carter's Waste Disposal for over thirty-five years. Don was a member of Wingham Town Council for over fifteen years serving the last six years as Wingham's last mayor. He was a life member of the Wingham Kinsmen Club, a founding member of the Wingham Business Association, Wingham Snowmobile Club and Bruce Regional Snowmobile Club. He was instrumental in mapping out trails for the original Timmy Runs. The Carters are members of Wingham United Church.

Major Voce was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1990. He was the commanding officer of Wingham Salvation Army until the summer of 2008, and formerly served corps at Nipawin, Saskatchewan and Peace River, Alberta.

West, June (Burke)

June (Burke) West of Felda, Florida quietly passed away at age 86 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Florida on Monday, November 3, 2008. Born in Morris Township on June 18, 1922, daughter of the late Eleanor and Thomas Burke. Beloved wife of Michael West. She was the mother of  Nancy (MacAulay) and her husband Carlton Smith of Georgetown. Dear sister of Frank and Isobel Burke of Wingham, and the late Calvin and Jane Burke of Wingham. 
She will especially be sadly missed by her grandchildren. Rachel and husband Jeff Saunders of Acton,  Jessica Smith and Jordan Smith of Georgetown and by her Great-Grandson Austin Saunders. She was a special Aunt to  Stephen & Ginette Burke of Belgrave, Sheila (Burke) and Doug Bauer of Brussels, Julie (Burke) and Glenn Ruttan of Calgary, Connie Burke and Gerald Marks of Wingham and Susan Burke of Calgary. She is survived by nine great nieces and nephews and extended family. Family and friends helped June celebrate her 80th Birthday in Wingham and that continued to give her many happy memories during the past six years. 
Cremation has taken place in Florida and a private family graveside memorial will be held at Wingham Cemetery. 
June always treasured her family and many visit home to Wingham. As her memorial stone says "Home At Last."

Also survived by her brother James R. Coultes of Wingham. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary (McGowan) Coultes, an infant son in 1949, her daughter Mary Anne Makas in 1976 and her son Ivan Lawrence Wheeler in 1977.

Wild Cox, Victoria in her 93rd year, passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa on Thurs. April 10, 2008. Victoria, beloved wife of the late Harold E. Wild (1981 Wingham), and the late Leon Cox (1988 Lindsay). Loving mother to Jim Wild (Gail) of Whitby and JohnWild of Vancouver. Stepmother to Wendy (David) Woychyshyn, Manitoba and Leona (Charles) Ristau, Alberta. Dearly loved by fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Born Victoria Droumbolis Aug. 15, 1915 at Fort William (Thunder Bay) Ontario. Loving sister of Kathleen (Allan) Hick of  London and Capt. Viola Droumbolis of Napanee; predeceased by sisters Sylvia (Stan) Peckham, Mary (Claude) Biggar and Cleopatra.
Victoria was a member of many Wingham Clubs and Associations: Ladies Rifle Club, United Church Women (UCW), Rebekah Majestic Lodge, Recreation Council, Curling Club and Figure Skating Club. Victoria was on the Ontario Recreation Council for the Mentally Handicapped Children. She was one of the early members of the Wingham Figure Skating Club and over many years served as President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. As well she was involved in many carnivals and helped instruct the younger members. Victoria was a skating judge sanctioned by the Canadian Figure Skating Assoc. She received the Canadian Certificate of Merit from the Government of Canada in 1988 for her contribution in Figure Skating and work with the mentally handicapped children. Victoria was inducted into the North Huron Sports Wall of Fame at the community complex in 2004.
Funeral Services will be held at Westminster United Church, Whitby, on Monday at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be held at Wingham Cemetery, on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.

Zurbrigg, Russell George King

Predeceased by his parents Ezra and Adeline (Koenig) Zurbrigg, his sisters Edythe Zurbrigg (1931) and Jean Rintoul (1998) and by his granddaughter Julaine Spencer (1995).
